Aaron Miller – Hexagram

Hexagram Bio

Back in 2003 seeking to scratch that insatiable itch, Aaron Miller started writing music outside of the scope of the bands he had been playing with. There was somehow more. As time passed a style was defined and Hexagram was born.

By late 2006 as the music shaped up, Aaron was able to recruit Marty O' Hara- a tall, ferocious, rock-solid bass player and drummer Nick Menyhart. Hexagram was ready to get the show on the road. With relentless rehearsals Hexagram’s showtime was getting closer. In an effort to draw a crowd Aaron took to online promotion to build support. It came thick and fast with footage on Myspace. By June 2007 Hexagram was ready to rock.

Later in the year the band entered Total Rock Radio's 'Best Heavy Metal Band' competition and won the opportunity to play the Bloodstock open air festival with the likes of Testament, Lacuna Coil, Dark Tranquillity and Arch Enemy. Spurred on by the reaction from live audiences, the band also picked up an Express FM Golden Plectrum Award.

By this time they needed an album, so serious writing sessions began. These writing sessions produced the very powerful song 'Absence of Trust', but also saw the departure of drummer Nick Menyhart. Whilst continuing to write and record, Biomechanical drummer Jonno Lodge stepped up and Hexagram produced a video of this great song.

As Aaron and Marty finished the album, 'Rhymes for the Hated' the band's search for a drummer stopped at the sticks of Adam Rockett.
