StrangeLand/Kevin Schmitt and Kevin Grose Artist Links
StrangeLand Who says Christians can't bang their heads? Certainly not Kevin Schmitt (left) and Kevin Grose (right) of StrangeLand, a Christian Metal band out of Pekin, IL. Both grew up playing guitar in the 80s, so it was natural to fall in love with the Metal Masters of the day, including Rob Rock, Yngwie Malmsteen, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and more. The two ultimately decided they wanted to "make a joyful noise unto the Lord" - just really loud.
Kevin G. provides the lead guitar for the band, and is one of the key elements to the melodic writing style that gives the band it's unique sound. Kevin S. is the force behind the driving and edgy rhythm guitars that propel the band's "take no prisoners" style. StrangeLand has rapidly gained international recognition, thanks to their self-produced CD. They've enjoyed strong radio play in the US, Japan and South America, as well as in Europe, where they've amassed a huge following. The band has also been featured in numerous Metal magazines.

Lead guitarist Kevin Grose's Randall gear consists of RM50C and RM100C combo amps and the RM100 head, all of which use the MTS interchangeable preamp modules. His collection of modules include the Blackface, Randall Clean, XTC, Plexi, Treadplate, and two SL +. He uses R412NXT cabinets. Why the Randall MTS series? "Because they're the only amps that gives me every tone I need, whenever I need it." Rhythm guitarist Kevin Schmitt's Randall gear includes RH100G2 heads and R412NXT cabinets. After playing Randall gear, Kevin says "there's just no other amp worth playing through."
